Kirkland Partner Cy Jones Named On the Rise for 2024 by Texas Lawyer

Texas Lawyer named Kirkland & Ellis partner Cy Jones among its 2024 “On the Rise” recipients as part of the annual Texas Legal Awards. Recipients are recognized among Texas’ most promising lawyers under the age of 40, those “who have wielded influence in their practice areas in Texas and beyond.” These attorneys are lauded as innovators who are “developing unique practice niches, amassing robust books of business, demonstrating strong leadership qualities, showing expertise in litigation, in-house or transactional work and committing themselves to pro bono, charitable and professional volunteer work.”

Cy’s practice focuses on complex transactions including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and private equity, with a particular focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors. He has counseled private equity investors, their portfolio companies, and other public and private companies in connection with mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, complex joint ventures and offerings of equity and debt securities.
