Two Kirkland Partners Recognized Among L.A. Times’ 2024 Legal Visionaries

The Los Angeles Times named Kirkland & Ellis partners Michael De Vries and Hamed Meshki to its 2024 list of “Legal Visionaries.” Those recognized in this year’s list were lauded for their “commitment to excellence, thought leadership and impactful contributions to both their clients and the broader legal community.”

Mike, who was recognized in the Intellectual Property space, was noted for securing one of the largest defense-side patent verdicts in U.S. history.

Hamed, who was recognized in the Corporate space, was lauded as “a prominent leader in Kirkland & Ellis’ Los Angeles office and corporate practice,” for his representation of such private equity clients as Oaktree Capital Management and Brentwood Associates, and for his community involvement on behalf of such organizations as the Keep Children in School Foundation.
