IJ Investor Awards 2024 – Transactions of the Year

IJGlobal recognized Kirkland & Ellis with three awards at the IJInvestor Awards 2024, including “Debt Financing of the Year – Europe” and “Refinance of the Year – Europe” for their work on the Solör Bioenergi financing, where the Kirkland team – including James Boswell, James McGivern and Tina Xu – were instrumental in developing and executing the financing structure, working closely with the financial advisers and Solör to optimize the capital structure and achieve the flexibility required to ensure the financing works for Solör over the long term. Kirkland was also recognized with “Joint Venture Acquisition of the Year – APAC” for their work representing Bain Capital on its formation of a $250 million manufacturing park joint venture for new economy infrastructure (“JV Platform”) with DJ New Ease Group (“DNE”), a leading new economy infrastructure investor, developer and operator in China. The DNE Group and Bain Capital's joint venture team included Paul Guan and Pierre Arsenault.

With an international judging committee, the IJInvestor Awards are designed to award the best fund raising and deployment, as well as M&A activity, in the energy and infrastructure sector.
