Abbott Seeks April Trial for Bid to Escape Alere Merger
"Abbott Laboratories (ABT) is asking Delaware Vice Chancellor Sam Glasscock III for an April trial date in a lawsuit where the medical device company is seeking to walk from its $7.9 billion agreement to buy Alere Inc. (ALR)
James Hurst, Andrew Kassof and Brenton Rogers of Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago are advising Abbott in the Delaware litigation along with John O'Quinn in the firm's Washington office.Kirkland's Daniel Wolf, David Feirstein, Laura Sullivan and John Kupiec were M&A counsel."
