Partners John Hartmann and Martin Roth received a runner's up for The American Lawyer Litigation Daily’s “Litigator of the Week” contest for their work for Sun Capital Partners.

Garda claimed Sun Capital and SOS leaked confidential information that led it to be outbid by Allied Security. But Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Melissa Crane held last week on summary judgment that Garda’s contention that it would have had the winning bid “but for defendants’ indiscretion with confidential information” was “pure speculation.” Kirkland’s John Hartmann and Martin Roth represented both Sun Capital and SOS.
