Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout Outs

Partners Aaron Marks, George Hicks and Kristin Rose received a shout-out for The American Lawyer Litigation Daily's "Litigator of the Week" for their work for Lionbridge Technologies and H.I.G. Capital.

Shout out to a team at Kirkland & Ellis that got a ruling this week from the Second Circuit affirming a summary judgment win for translation company Lionbridge Technologies and its private equity sponsor, H.I.G. Capital, in a trade secrets case brought by rival TransPerfect Global. The appellate court held that TransPerfect hadn’t put forward sufficient evidence to prove up damages or even show that the defendants gained access to its confidential information via a court-ordered auction of company shares. Kirkland’s Aaron Marks argued the case at the Second Circuit and was joined on the briefs by colleagues George Hicks and Kristin Rose, as well as Harker Rhodes of Clement & Murphy."
