Kirkland Represents Industrial Growth Partners on Sale of Southern Petroleum Laboratories, Inc. to Sentinel Capital Partners
Kirkland & Ellis advised Industrial Growth Partners (IGP) on the sale of Southern Petroleum Laboratories, Inc. (SPL) to an affiliate of Sentinel Capital Partners in a transaction that closed on April 7, 2022. SPL is a leader in testing, inspection and certification services for energy and environmental markets, serving over 1,700 customers worldwide. Kirkland advised IGP on its acquisition of SPL in 2016 and several subsequent add-on acquisitions, including American Measurement Services in 2017, Zelva Holdings and Atchafalaya Measurement in 2018, Banded Iron US in 2019, and Assured Flow Solutions and Oxidor Laboratories in 2021.
