Kirkland Represents American Securities and Portfolio Companies on Closing of Ferro Take Private Acquisition and Subsequent Combination of Prince, Ferro and Chromaflo Technologies to Create New Company
Kirkland & Ellis advised American Securities, a leading U.S. private equity firm, and its portfolio company, Prince International Corporation, in its acquisition of Ferro Corporation and the subsequent combination of Prince, Ferro and another American Securities portfolio company, Chromaflo Technologies. In connection with the Ferro acquisition, Kirkland also advised on the required divestiture by Prince of its US and EU porcelain enamel businesses to KPS Capital Partners, LP. The newly combined company will be renamed Vibrantz Technologies Inc., headquartered in Houston, Texas, and will be a global, diversified technology leader in advanced materials, color solutions and performance coatings with sales of approximately $2 billion.
