Kirkland Advises Seaside Equity Partners on Closing of Second Fund at $325 Million
Kirkland & Ellis advised Seaside Equity Partners in connection with the formation of its second private equity investment fund, Seaside Equity Partners II. Seaside announced the closing on $325 million in capital commitments in Fund II, surpassing its target of $225 million and more than double its $160 million Fund I that closed in 2021. Seaside focuses on making investments in services companies in the Western U.S. with a buy and build strategy. Fund II investors include insurance companies, public and corporate pension plans, family offices, foundations and individual investors.
The Kirkland team was led by investment funds partners Justin Solomon and Michael Lee and included associates Aura Gilham and Ally Relat; tax partner Joel Peters-Fransen and associate Michael Alcan; and investment funds regulatory partner Matt Cohen and associate Jordan Chafetz.
