Kirkland Advises Shamrock Capital on Fundraise for Over $600 Million for Shamrock Capital Content Fund III

Kirkland & Ellis counseled Shamrock Capital on the formation and fundraising of its third media content fund, Shamrock Capital Content Fund III, L.P. (SCCF III). SCCF III exceeded its target and raised over $600 million from a wide range of investors. SCCF III will follow the same mandate as its two predecessor funds of partnering with world-class content creators and owners while targeting the acquisition of premium, cash-flowing portfolios across film, television, music, video games, sports rights and other forms of content.

The Kirkland team was led by investment funds partner Karen Sodke, and included associates Shyla Giri and Casey Bond; tax partners Dan Meehan and Mike Greenberg; investment funds regulatory partner Chris Scully and associate Tim Nolan; and investment funds ERISA partner Sabrina Glaser.

Since January 2020, Kirkland has advised more than 700 unique sponsors on the formation of over 1,080 funds with total capital commitments in excess of $1.47 trillion.
