Kirkland Advises McCarthy Capital on $870 Million Private Equity Fund
Kirkland & Ellis represented McCarthy Partners Management, LLC (McCarthy Capital), an Omaha-based private equity firm focused on growth equity investments, on the formation of its latest flagship fund, McCarthy Capital Fund VIII, L.P. (McCarthy VIII). McCarthy VIII attracted a diverse mix of U.S. and international institutional investors, including insurance companies, pensions, endowments and family offices, which totaled $870 million in capital commitments, far exceeding its original target. McCarthy VIII will continue McCarthy Capital’s longstanding strategy of targeting growth equity investments, management buyouts and recapitalizations in the lower middle-market.
