Since joining Kirkland, Kate has been involved in the following matters:
- Warburg Pincus in the sale of its portfolio company, Aquila Air Capital (“Aquila”), a leading engine lessor, to funds managed by Wafra Inc.
- Global Infrastructure Partners in its $12.5 billion acquisition by BlackRock, Inc. (NYSE: BLK), creating a leading infrastructure private markets investment platform with over $150 billion in AUM
- Tall City Property Holdings III, a portfolio company of Warburg Pincus LLC, in the sale of its Delaware Basin assets to Vital Energy (NYSE: VTLE) for $285 million in cash and 1.58 million common shares
- Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P., together with Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, in its acquisition of Compass Datacenters, a designer and provider of data centers for hyperscalers and cloud providers on campuses across the globe
Prior to joining Kirkland, Kate was involved in the following matters:
- Cirrus Logic in its acquisition of Lion Semiconductor, which specializes in wired and wireless fast-charging solutions for smart phones
- Bloomfire Inc., a leader in knowledge engagement software, in connection with a growth equity investment from Primus Capital
- SailPoint Technologies, a leader in enterprise identity governance, in its acquisitions of ERP Maestro, Inc, Intello, Orkus, and OverWatchID
- OJO Labs in its acquisition of real estate search site Movoto
- Khoros, a customer engagement software provider and a Vista Equity Partners portfolio company, in its acquisition of Flow.ai, a conversational AI platform for designing and managing chatbots
- Allegion in its acquisition of Yonomi Inc. a leader in IoT Cloud platforms
- PayLease, a leading PropTech provider for property managers and community associations and a Vista Equity Partners portfolio company, in its acquisition of Zego, maker of a smart home hub for apartment living
- Vida Capital, a multi-billion dollar alternative asset manager specializing in insurance-linked strategies, in its acquisition by Redbird Capital and Reverence Capital Partners
