Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout Outs

Partners Jay Lefkowitz, Mark Premo-Hopkins, Christa Cottrell, Jessica Giulitto and Cameron Ginder and associates Evelyn Cai and Michael Smith received a shout-out for The American Lawyer Litigation Daily's "Litigator of the Week" for their work for TPG.

Shout out to a team at Kirkland & Ellis that secured a ruling dismissing TPG from product liability cases pending against its portfolio company Exactech in multidistrict litigation in the Eastern District of New York. U.S. District Judge Nicholas Garaufis in Brooklyn last week found that plaintiffs were “unable to demonstrate that veil-piercing is appropriate under the law of any state that they argue should apply.” The Kirkland team on the matter includes Jay Lefkowitz, Mark Premo-Hopkins, Christa Cottrell, Jessica Giulitto, Cameron Ginder, Evelyn Cai and Michael Smith."
