Kirkland Advises Energy Capital Partners on Combination with Bridgepoint
Kirkland & Ellis advised Energy Capital Partners (ECP) on its definitive agreements with Bridgepoint Group plc (LSE: BPT), pursuant to which ECP will combine with the Bridgepoint platform to build a €57bn global alternatives asset manager. ECP, which has raised over $30bn of capital since inception in 2005, has a market leading position in the power generation, renewables, battery storage, environmental infrastructure and sustainability sectors, and the combined platform will span private equity, infrastructure and credit with offices across Europe, North America and Asia. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024 and is subject to customary closing conditions.
