Kirkland Advises KKR-Backed ContourGlobal on Successful Refinancing

Kirkland & Ellis advised KKR portfolio company ContourGlobal in connection with its offering of €500 million green senior secured notes and $510 million green senior secured notes. The proceeds from the offering were used to refinance existing debt and fund cash on balance sheet for corporate purposes. ContourGlobal will allocate an amount equivalent to the net proceeds from the offering to finance or refinance eligible green projects. Kirkland also advised ContourGlobal in connection with extending and upsizing its senior secured revolving credit facility. ContourGlobal is a developer and operator of wholesale electric power generation businesses, with a diversified portfolio of 130 renewable and thermal power plants across 20 countries on five continents.
