Kirkland Represents Thoma Bravo on $8 Billion Acquisition of Coupa Software
Kirkland & Ellis advised Thoma Bravo, a leading software investment firm, on its acquisition of Coupa Software (NASDAQ: COUP), a leader in Business Spend Management (BSM), for an enterprise value of $8 billion. The transaction includes a significant minority investment from a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA). Upon completion of the transaction, Coupa's common stock will no longer be listed on any public market and the company will continue to operate under the Coupa name and brand. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2023, subject to customary closing conditions.
